I spent a whole month in Davao to attend an oil painting workshop. I could not exactly recall what prompted me to search for one during that period, but I know the idea has long been tucked away in a corner of my head, seldom visited through daydreams that are often dismissed by practical thoughts.
Going through these photos came with an assessment of how far I’ve evolved in my creative pursuits, and I particularly deem this period to be one of my breakthrough moments, like an affirmation that this path feels good and that I want to keep doing this for the rest of my life.
As I look back on what I was like growing up, I feel that I’m innately captivated by creating something with my hands, and even if I try to visualize what my future would be like, it’s never a picture without art.
